Police arrested three men after a woman travelling with her husband on a motorcycle was allegedly targeted near Hirevuda village in Channagiri taluk. The suspects reportedly warned the couple that the woman’s sari might get caught in the motorcycle wheel, causing them to stop. They then allegedly snatched her 45-gram gold mangalsutra and fled. One suspect was caught with the help of villagers, while police later arrested the remaining accused and recovered the jewellery, valued at around ₹3 lakh.
