Hadadi police arrested three people while investigating the death of a 36-year-old man from Pamenahalli village in Davanagere taluk. Police alleged that the victim’s wife and another man were involved in killing him and that his body was later taken to the Tungabhadra River. The case initially came to police attention as a missing-person complaint. During questioning, investigators reportedly found information that led them to treat the disappearance as a murder case. Police subsequently began searching the river for the victim’s body while continuing the investigation.
