The annual feast celebrations at the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Health in Harihar began with a ceremonial flag hoisting and the blessing of the renovated grotto. Thousands of devotees from Karnataka and neighbouring states attended the opening celebrations, which included prayers, Eucharistic services, healing prayers and a community meal. Daily novena Masses and devotional programmes are scheduled to continue through September 7. The celebrations will culminate on September 8 with the Festal Day marking the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
